KIBS staff visit to the OKS in Braunschweig

On August 11th a large part of our staff, some of which just started working this week, visited the Oskar Kämmer Schule Information Center in Braunschweig.
First Andreas Schraknepper introduced the OKS, then the staff went on a guided city tour with an interpreter. We were happy to also see our new staff members from the USA, Great Britain, Canada and Ireland!
After that the trip went on to the “Kleiner Harz” – the Oskar Kämmer Schules most attractive projekt including a miniature park, a show workshop and a restaurant, which was particularly interesting.

Some exciting shortnews

  • KIBS is now a member of the European Council of International Schools. Following a visit last term, the ECIS have accepted KIBS as a provisional member of the International Schools’ community.
  • We are also looking forward to welcoming five new international teachers to our faculty for 2011-2012.
  • And finally Jim Laing from Fieldwork Education, one of the UK’s leading educational training companies, will be spending a day with KIBS staff in August.

We’re on vacation

Dear Parents,

while you are hopefully spending a few nice days in the sun together with your children we are on vacation, too! In the meantime our school buildings in the Lathusenstraße are being renovated so once summer vacation is over everything’s fresh and even nicer for our pupils.

Our usual telephone number will still be available though while the office is closed. On the 1st of August we are opening again for you and your children.

We wish you all a pleasant vacation – see you soon!

With mixed feelings…

…we bid farewell to our fourth graders in in the leaver´s assembly. Many of them will stay with us in secondary school – which is marvellous! We wish them and of course all the others that are leaving us the best of luck and a lot of fun in the upcoming school year! We would like to say thank you for all the trust that parents and children put into us – it’s been a great time!
