Year 7 students were challenged to create 3D models of either plant or animal cells using only recycled materials. They had to be creative in finding objects around the house that they could use to represent their cell and the different organelles. Some students were creative in using perishable items, others incorporated old sponges or Lego pieces, while others even made their own clay from recycled paper. The students were surprised to find how many resources they had readily available to them at home without having to buy brand new items in a store.
